The Work
Three organizations, one mission: rebuild the infrastructure of care for modern families.
The Origin
"Korédé" means "to nurture" in Yoruba—the village principle in action.
Korédé House was founded in St. Louis, Missouri in 2022 to address a crisis: mothers—especially Black mothers—were falling through the cracks. Postpartum depression was going undiagnosed. Social isolation was endemic. The systems meant to help were not connected.
So we built what was missing: a village. Home visits. Peer support groups. Care coordination. Mental health screening. And a technology platform to make it all work together.
300+ families served. 91% postpartum visit completion. Zero hospital readmissions. A Net Promoter Score of 86.
